PANTA RAY's Head of Marketing attended the CSET Conference in Genoa explaining how business continuity and cybersecurity can collaborate to foster organizational resilience.

On June 12th, PANTA RAY’s Head of Marketing Francesco Bongiorno spoke from the stage of the Cyber Security for Energy and Transport Infrastructure (CSET) Conference.

This was the fifth edition of the event, which is organized every year by the Department of Electrical, Electronic, Telecommunications Engineering and Naval Architecture (DITEN) of the University of Genoa, this time in collaboration with the National Committee for Cybersecurity, Resilience and Business Continuity of Electrical Grids.

In the beautiful location of the former Palazzo della Borsa (Stock Exchange Building), during its two days, the conference saw the participation of over 30 speakers and 200 attendees from various industries.

It was the perfect context to stress the importance of a strict collaboration between different disciplines and organizational departments. As the protagonist of the conference was cybersecurity, Francesco’s speech focused on how business continuity and cybersecurity can form a joint venture and enhance any organization’s resilience.

As highlighted by Francesco and many other speakers, embedding continuity principles within organizations is the key aspect for thoroughly protecting an organization against cyber threats. Tailored awareness sessions to teams, top management and the entire organization, together with the appropriate initiatives, are some of the key tactics to integrate continuity into the organizational culture.
